Face-to-Face Appointments

You can meet with a Certified Financial Counselor at one of our local offices for a 60 to 90 minute pre-filing bankruptcy counseling session. If you are filing a joint bankruptcy, you and your spouse need to attend the session together.

During the session, you will receive:

• A budget and financial net worth analysis
• An analysis of your current financial situation and the factors that caused it
• A review of bankruptcy alternatives and consequences
• A plan to avoid financial problems in the future
• A certificate of completion

What to bring to your appointment:

• Income verification (recent pay stubs or bank statements)
• A list of current living expenses — items such as rent or mortgage
  payments, utility bills, cell phone bill, school loans, car loans, etc.
• A copy of any creditor statements
• A government issued photo ID
• $50 fee (Money Order or Cashier's Check)
